Animal Kingdom

This past Saturday we went to Animal Kingdom with Grandma and Pa.  We had lots of fun looking at all the animals and riding the rides!

Five on Friday

1. One night recently while putting Sydney to sleep, I sang her two favorite songs.  The ones either Chris or I sing her each and every night:  I  See The Moon and Jesus Loves Me.  I wasn't quite ready to put her down yet, so I sang one more.  Imagine my surprise when I heard her sing along with me, Oh How I Love Jesus, Oh How I Love Jesus, Oh How I Love Jesus...Because He First Loved Me!  I remember singing this song to her a few times, but apparently I've sung it a lot.  Still can't believe she knew every word!

2.  "Oh my stars in heaven above!" this sounds even funnier coming from a four year old. There are a few houses around town the still have their Christmas lights up AND turn them on every night. Each time we ride by one of these houses Sara Beth says "Oh my stars in heaven above, these people are driving me crazy!!"

3. Chris and I have made over 10 new recipes these past two weeks.  Plus I have about 5 meals in my freezer ready to eat at any time.  I love Pinterest!!

4.  (Chris's facebook friends have already heard this one)...One day last week, Sara Beth was having a rough day.  Chris seemed to be disciplining her all afternoon and evening long.  At the end of that long day, Chris was putting her in bed, she gave him a hug and asked, "Daddy, are you still gonna marry me?" If that doesn't melt your heart, I don't know what will!

5. My exercise goal for the year is to run at least 300 miles.  I'm off to a great start!  I ran 32 miles in January and exercised 20/31 days.  I'm pretty happy with that.  I am running my first 15k with mom and Aunt Lyn and 15,000 other people at the Gate River Run in Jacksonville.  It is the largest 15k in the country.  Should be lots of fun!
