Sydney is TWO!

To celebrate Sydney's second birthday here are 10 fun facts about my favorite 2 year old --

1. The girl loves pudding.  It is almost always her choice of food when asked what she wants to eat.

2. She is a rough and tough little girl, who doesn't want to miss out on anything.  She does everything her big sister does.  She is a parrot to Sara Beth, repeating every single thing she says.

3. A few weeks ago she moved up to the 2 year old class at school.  She is now in a class with 8 other young two year olds.  She loves school and has made lots of new friends.  Her teachers say she is great all day.  She even lays down on a mat and sleeps for an hour and a half every day.  (I just wish she would do that on the weekends!)

4. She's never been a huge fan of watching TV but when she first wakes up in the morning, she wants to sit in her highchair, drink chocolate milk, eat breakfast and watch cartoons for at least 30 minutes before she's fully awake and ready to begin her day.

5. She always has a song in her heart and is always singing.  Her favorites to sing are Jesus Loves Me, Baa Baa Black Sheep, and a remix of Old McDonald/BINGO that she made up.

6. She is a super smart girl (I can say this because I'm her mom!).  She can count to 15 and can sing her ABC's.  She knows all the basic body parts and can tell you her full name.  She can name flash cards of basic objects, animals, and food.  She is a great communicator and can tell you just about anything she wants to say.

7. She runs fast and plays hard.  She loves being outside, especially on the swing.

8. She has a fairly new obsession with books.  Her favorite books at the moment are Curious George Color Book, There Was A Coyote Who Swallowed a Flea (or as she says "ci-yoyo-tee book"), and Down On Googlie Farm ("cow book").

9. At her 2 year check up she weighed 33 lbs, 12 oz (95th percentile) and was 36 1/2 inches tall (97th percentile). She's my big, big girl!

10. While typing this, Sydney has gotten Chris's drink off the table and blew in the straw making bubbles in the water, tried to stand on her rolled up sleeping bag for as long as she can without falling over, and continuously ran through the house.  On the other hand Sara Beth has been sitting at the dining room table quietly coloring by herself.  I'm amazed everyday just how different our two girls are.

Here she is at her party!
