beach

We spent this past weekend at St. George Island with Chris's parents.  This was our first trip to the beach this summer.  I was anxious to see how Sydney would like it, now that she's mobile.  And if Sara Beth would still hate getting sandy.  I am happy to say we have two girls who officially LOVE the beach.  They both got sandy from head and toe and loved every second of it!

 Sara Beth made a friend...

race

Last weekend, Mom, Tammy, and I competed in what we thought was going to be a 5K race (3.1 miles).  It ended up only being 1.8 miles.  Needless to say, we all ran it in really good time!

Sweet girls came to cheer on their mom, Grandma, and Nana in the race

 We did it!!

riding

This is how we spend several nights every week -- Sara Beth riding her bike and us pushing Sydney in her car around our neighborhood.  Here is Sara Beth showing us how well she can ride her bike.

Mother's Day

I didn't get a good picture of me with the girls on Easter, but that was okay because Mother's Day was just a few weeks away.  I knew I would get a good picture then.  Wrong again!  Taking a picture of both girls smiling and looking at the camera at the same time is hard, if not impossible these days.  This was, unfortunately, the best I could get...
Notice Sara Beth sitting there smiling and looking right at the camera.  Precious.
All Sydney wanted was to get down and get her daddy.  Once I put her down, she was happy again.

Trying to get Sydney to laugh.  Every is laughing but her!

 Me and my mom!

shower

My friend Leah is getting married in July.  We had a bridal shower for her a few weeks ago.  Here is a group picture of some of the girls....

reunion

The last weekend in April is the Annual Riden Reunion at my Great-Grandparents house in a small town in northern Georgia.  Aunt Lyn, Nana, and I took Sara Beth and Sydney a day early so we could all enjoy the farm on Friday, before the reunion on Saturday.

 Time to go fishing!
As soon as Sara Beth puts her line in, she catches a fish!  Aunt Lyn can't believe it!

Sara Beth had fun playing with her cousin, Sam
